If you are a professional landscaping company or facility manager. Operational safety and business efficiency are the most important element to consider when purchasing a robotic lawnmower.A good robotic mower solution for the commercial user should help you excel in your current operation. That includes schedule availability, operation safety, minimizing cost, and increased mowing consistency. 

 

  • Why should I choose to buy a NEXMOW M1?

 

NEXMOW M1 is the only robotic lawn mower available on the market that can mow in public areas with beautiful mowing results.Just like your regular mower, NEXMOW M1 can also mow in parallel thanks to AI algorithm. It maximizes efficiency and mow beautiful lines. The compact 24” body size with multiple safety sensors allows the mower to mow in public areas (parks, HOA, sport fields) with dogs and people around.

 

  • Why is the NEXMOW multi lawn mowing system better than stationary robots?

 

Drop, Mow and Go is now possible from site to site. NEXMOW does not require installation of guide wires and power supplies on public sites. Commercial users have struggled to use a fixed station robot mower on public sites. Questions that come up are ownership of the property and the complex installation process.By solving the problem, the NEXMOW system allows you to map (virtual perimeter) acres in a few minutes in multiple sites. Simply drop your mower fleet and press start to mow. 2 swappable batteries gives the mower 12 hours of run-time so you don't need a charging station on site.

 

  • What is the maximum operational area for NEXMOW?

 

Thanks to NEXMOW advanced INOS (Intelligent Navigation Operating System), there is no physical perimeter wire needed. Therefore, there is also no limitation on the operational area for NEXMOW M1. To have better productivity in a big area, multiple NEXMOW M1s can be deployed in the same area.

 

  • Is it really safe around public areas and pets?

 

Yes, safety is the highest priority of NEXMOW M1. There are multiple sensors that contributed to making M1 safe. Ultrasonic sensors provide contactless detection to prevent M1 collision with objects in front and side of M1. Bumper sensors will reduce the impact while M1 hitting objects and blades will stop accordingly. Lift sensors will detect M1 being lifted, blades will also stop immediately.

 

  • Can it handle steep hills and slopes?

 

Yes, the maximum slope M1 can execute is 45%. We provide slope mode for steep hills and it can be operate in our NEXMOW APP.

 

  • Can it work in rain?

 

NEXMOW M1 is IP54 certified. When it detects rain, users will get a rain notice via NEXMOW APP. 

 

  • Do I need to collect grass after mowing?

 

NEXMOW M1 is using pivot blades which will provide a good mulching performance. Users can leave grass clipping on the lawn as natural nutrition to make grass healthier.

 

  • What's the battery lifetime?

 

The high-performance Li-Ion battery used in NEXMOW M1 can discharge 500 cycles. After 500 cycles, it can still remain 80% capacity of a whole new battery.

 

  • What's the anti-theft protection measure?

 

We provide 2-step anti-theft protection. If someone attempts to steal M1, the siren of M1 will active. It will also send notice via NEXMOW APP immediately. Users can check the M1 location via APP. Besides, there is an account and password needed to operate M1, it will reduce the intention to steal M1.

 

  • How does it handle very long grass?

 

The cutting system of NEXMOW M1 has enhanced design to deal with long grass up to 8 inches. However, we still suggest maintaining mowing frequently to keep the grass under 4 inches. 

 

  • Will it work with uneven lawn?

 

The NEXMOW M1 has a great ability to move and mow an uneven lawn. Its 12-inch big wheels provide great traction on the uneven lawn.

 

  • What about pine cones, tree branches and fruit on the ground?

 

If the pine cones, tree branches, and fruit are smaller than 2 inches, it will not impact NEXMOW M1 normal operation. We highly suggest cleaning all objects on the lawn before operating NEXMOW M1.

 

  • Can it cross sidewalks and pathways?

 

Yes, NEXMOW M1 can move across sidewalks and pathways within 1-cm steps.

 

  • What is an ideal location to plan and install the robot?

 

The ideal location to operate M1 must be covered with good RTK and LTE signals. To check RTK network coverage, you may download TOPNET APP to check or contact with our dealer partners.

 

  • How to map the virtual boundary?

 

By using one NEXMOW M1 or NEXMOW Virtual Marker to circle the working area for the first time, then the virtual boundary will be recorded to our cloud server. 

 

  • Can it handle all types of lawn shapes and sizes?

 

A square or circle shape of the lawn will be preferred. NEXMOW M1 will have better efficiency on lawn sizes bigger than 0.5 acres. The mowing quality and efficiency will be highly related to lawn shape, size, grass type, and density. 

 

  • I have nice flower beds and trees that I want to protect. Is that possible?

 

NEXMOW M1 can set up many keep-out zones in our working areas. Just set up at the first time, you can easily protect flower beds, trees, hardscape, and so on. 

 

  • What to do if I have more than one separate lawns?

 

It is easy to set up multiple working areas via NEXMOW M1 or NEXMOW Virtual Marker. Just map once, then all the data will be stored in the cloud for every time operation via APP.

 

  • How to enter account and passwords?

 

The user needs to download NEXMOW APP and get an account and password from NEXMOW official. Dealers will help to apply in advance to ensure it works. 

 

  • How to start mower operation?

 

The NEXMOW M1 is operated by NEXMOW APP. Follow by user manual instruction: just select the working area, then select mower(s), then you can operate M1 to start the mowing task.

 

  • If I have multiple robots, can they work in the same area?

 

Yes, the user can select multiple robots, up to 10 robots in the same working area to increase the mowing efficiency. If the working area is too small to under 0.5 acres, then we will suggest using single M1.

 

  • How to adjust the cutting height?

 

The user can adjust the cutting height via NEXMOW APP before each mowing task running. 

 

  • Can I save a memory point from the mower's last job?

 

Yes, all the mowing tasks and status will be stored in the cloud server automatically. Once you "end" the mowing task via NEXMOW APP, the last mowing points will be recorded.   • Can I track mowing progress and health status in real time?

 

Yes, the NEXMOW APP will continuously update the mowing progress and each key status. If there is any issue that happened, it will also send push notifications via NEXMOW APP to notify users.

 

  • Can I walk away when the mower is in operation?

  • How to charge NEXMOW M1?

 

There is a charge kit provided by the manufacturer (URSROBOT). The user can remove the swappable battery from NEXMOW M1 and put the battery into the charging dock to start charging. It will take about 3 hours to charge the battery to 80% capacity. 

 

  • How to clean NEXMOW M1?

 

It is easy to clean NEXMOW by using a soft brush or air spray gun. Lift the NEXMOW M1 upright against the wall and make sure the robot is stable. Then clean the blade discs and chassis to make sure the blades and wheels won't get stuck. (Please make sure the robot MUST be entirely turned off and wear a protective glove all the time)

 

  • How to upgrade NEXMOW M1 firmware?

 

The NEXMOW firmware upgrade is over the air. Users will get an APP notice to upgrade NEXMOW firmware. 

 

  • How to replace the blades?

 

Lift the NEXMOW M1 upright against the wall and make sure the robot is stable. Rotate the shielding plate so that its holes align with the screw for the blade. Remove the screws with a straight slot or cross-tip screwdriver. Remove the blades and screws. Screw on the new blades with new screws. Then, check the blades can pivot freely. (Please make sure the robot MUST be entirely turned off and wear a protective glove all the time)

 

  • How to do battery maintenance?

 

NEXMOW M1 swappable Li-Ion battery is easy to maintain. Always ensure NOT over-discharging after operating the robot. Fully charge the battery before winter storage.

 

  • How to storage?

 

If users want to store NEXMOW M1 for a certain period, please charge the battery 100% before storage. Put M1 and battery separately in a safe, clean, dry storage space where the temperature is above 32F (0C). Put the M1 flat and do NOT stack anything on top of M1.

 

  • How do I maintain the NEXMOW M1 to keep it in the best condition?

 

Clean and inspect the blades and wheels weekly. (It will be better to do it after every operation). Find certified dealers to handle and maintain if you have any further problems.

 

  • Why does it take longer time for the indicator to show blue sometimes?

 

NEXMOW M1 needs to connect to the LTE network to complete the systemboot-up. Once the system is ready, the indicator will show blue. The power key under the battery cover will light up if the power is on.

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 stop but the indicator still show green?

 

Could be 2 reasons: 1. RTK signal is too bad to navigate, M1 will wait for signal getting better. 2. The grass could be too thick for cutting deck, the motor is under protective mode. It will resume once the motor recovery done.

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 skip some areas during mowing?

 

Could be 3 reasons: 1. The path planning was set to mow the area later. 2. Ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles in this area. It will skip now and mow this area later. 3. RTK signal is not good in this area at now, will skip now and mow this area later

 

  • Why does the joystick not connect to NEXMOW even only one NEXMOW robot nearby?

 

The M1 might still connect to another joystick as last time. Please reboot M1 and joystick, then they shall connect to each other.

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 stop for a while after turning around to start a mowing task?

 

The M1 will download the optimized path from the cloud once start the mowing task. Usually, it might take 3-5 minutes. The bigger the working area, the longer the waiting time for downloading.

 

  • What will NEXMOW M1 do when obstacles are detected?

 

Once M1 detects obstacles, it will stop and play warning notice for a while. If the obstacle is not leaving, M1 will repeat that mowing pace once and check again. if the obstacle is still not leaving, M1 will skip that area (about 2.5m).

 

  • If the anti-theft function is triggered accidentally, what shall I do?

 

Please check if it's a theft event or a fake theft event first. To turn off the anti-theft notice, the user needs to check the ongoing task in APP. Then, end the mowing task to turn off the theft event.

 

  • Why does ultrasonic not work?

 

The ultrasonic will not work in a very short path (small area) or the path close to the virtual boundary (<1.5m). This is to prevent fake alarms nearby the virtual boundary.

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 report MP2 error after the mowing task is completed?

 

After the mowing task is completed, the cutting deck will return to the initial height. If there are some clippings stuck in the cutting deck, MP2 error will be sent via APP. Just turn off the M1 and clean the clippings. 

 

  • Why is real mowing time different from estimated mowing time?

 

There are many unexpected conditions that happen during mowing tasks, which will increase the mowing time accordingly. Therefore, there will be some difference between real mowing time and estimated mowing time.

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 OTA upgrade fail?

 

NEXMOW M1 OTA upgrade needs a stable connection for data downloading. Please find a place with a good LTE network to do the OTA upgrade. 

 

  • Why does NEXMOW M1 have some mis-cutting areas?

 

There might be several reasons that impact the cutting performance: 1. thick grass or long grass. 2. bumpy ground 3. slope is big 4. blades need to be changed

 

  • Why can't I start an eCrew mowing task after I select multiple NEXMOW M1s?

 

Each M1 shall keep a 5-meter distance next to the adjacent M1.

 

  • Why do all NEXMOW M1s not return to Homebase after task completed/raining warning/low battery?

 

All M1s need to be ready to return to Homebase while all M1s tasks are completed, raining warning triggered, and low battery.

 

  • Why do NEXMOW M1 change the previous path after resuming an eCrew mowing task?

 

When the user selected multiple M1s for a working area, the path will be calculated and assigned to each M1. When resuming a mowing task, the path will be also rearranged for each M1.

 

  • Why do I receive the task completed notice while NEXMOW M1s still mowing during eCrew mode?

 

When doing eCrew mode in the same working area, each M1 will send notice while its mowing task is completed. Therefore, it might not complete at the same time due to different conditions.

 

  • Why do NEXMOW M1s not back to Homebase during eCrew mode?

 

When doing eCrew mode in the same working area, each M1 will wait for all M1s tasks completed, then return to Homebase together. When rain sensor trigger, M1s will follow same methodology to return to Homebse together.

 

  • Why do NEXMOW M1s not all back to the Homebase location during eCrew mode?

 

To prevent M1s collision at Homebase area, each M1 will have 1.5-meter distance to other adjacent M1s. Therefore, it might stop nearby Homebase location.
